KuyLab
Piano practice with MIDI and music theory.
Overview
A piano learning studio with synchronized MIDI playback, falling notes and guided exercises. Playback position, arrangement settings and learning progress are stored separately for each context.
The challenge
Audio playback, visual timing and exercise state share one musical timeline. Seeking, tempo changes and arrangement switching need consistent playback and progress state.
Engineering decisions
Separate timing from the interface
An audio port and transport model separate playback from React views. Timing, seeking and scheduling live in a dedicated layer; audio-focus coordination prevents several players from competing.
Remember the right context
Playback positions are scoped to arrangements, while settings and learning progress have explicit ownership. Timestamped notes let a learner return directly to a passage.
Support more than playback
Composition lessons sit alongside independently authored exercises and music theory. Uzbek, Russian and English interfaces make the same practice flow accessible in three languages.
What it delivers
A practice environment combining audio, visual guidance and learning history. The content snapshot reviewed on 26 October 2026 contains 8 pieces, 48 exercises in 16 groups and 24 theory topics.
